BIO-METRIC SENSOR:

It  is  a  device  which  recognizes  physical  or  behavioral   
traits of the individual. In other mean we can say that Biometric verification is any means by which a person can be uniquely identified by evaluating one or more distinguishing biological traits. Biometrics refers to metrics related to human characteristics. The term "biometrics" is derived from the Greek words "bio" meaning life and "metric" meaning to measure. Unique identifiers include fingerprints, hand geometry, earlobe geometry, retina and iris patterns, voice waves, DNA, and signatures. 


Bio-metric sensors are mainly used for marking attendance of employees, students, organizations/institutions. 

Biometric sensors work with accuracy, therefore these can be widely  used for security purposes.

Types of Bio-metric sensors

Their are mainly 2 types of Bio-metrics are available like-
(I) Physiological
(II) Behavioral


(I) Physiological

2. FingerPrint
3. Hand
4. Iris
5. DNA



(II) Behavioral
1. Keystroke
2. Signature
3. Voice
