Modi reaches Brussels for India-EU Summit:
PM Narendra Modi arrived in Brussels on the first leg of his three nation tour to Belgium the US and Saudi Arabia. On his day long visit to Brussels, Modi will hold a bilateral summit with Belgian PM Charles Michel and then attend the 13th India-European Union (EU) Sumit.

Arun Jaitley launches “Make in India” conference in Sydney:
Finance minister Arun Jaitley who is in Sydney for two days has launched the ‘Make in India’ conference in Sydney. Inaugurating the conference, Arun Jaitley called the Australian investors to invest in India.
He also informed that with ‘Make in India’ campaign the investors can invest in India and capitalize the biggest market in the world.

UNICEF Launches “Unfairy Tales” of refuse and Migrant children:
The UN children’s fund launches a series of animated films to help frame positive insights toward the tens of millions of children and young people on the move worldwide.

At least 65 million children and young people globally are on the move to escape conflict, poverty and extreme weather and find a stable life and a place to call home.

Dr Najma Heptulla launches Innovates Entrepreneurship & Skill Development Programme of MANAS:
Dr. Najma Heptulla, the Union Minister for Minority Affairs launched innovative entrepreneurship and skill development programme of Maulana Azad National Academy for Skills (MANAS) – through leading national/ international experts in different skill sets.

Manohar Parrikar flags off India’s first indigenous Sonar Dome:
Union Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar has flagged off India’s first indigenous composites sonar dome, a ship’s underwater eyes and ears. The sonar dome will be supplied to Mazgaon Docks, Mumbai for use in the warships of Indian Navy.

ADB lowers Asia’s growth forecast to 5.7%:
The Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) growth forecast of 7.4 per cent for 2016-17 is substantially lower than its earlier projection of 7.8 per cent.

European Investment Bank to loan $450 million for Lucknow Metro:
The European Union’s official bank European Investment Bank will Provide loan to Lucknow Metro Project of €450 million (about Rs. 3,300 crore) towards constructing a 23-km long rail line and a purchasing a fleet of new trains.

RBI cancels recognition of 22 NBFC’s:
RBI has cancelled the certificate of registration of 22 NBFC’s. Earlier, in the month beginning 6 more NBFC’s licenses were cancelled Due to the cancellation, the firms cannot enter into the financing business.
RBI has cancelled the registration owing to its powers conferred under Section 45-IA (6) of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934.

Reliance signs deal with Rafael:
Mukesh Ambani owned Reliance defence has entered into a deal with Israeli based Rafael defence to manufacture air to air missile systems air defence and observatory balloons.
Reliance will hold 51% of the stake and Rafael will hold 49% in the joint venture agreement. They will target over $ 10 billion in the next 10 years.

NIT Acquires IT firm of Dell:
Japan based NTT has acquired the IT arm of PC manufacturer Dell. The deal is valued at $ 3 billion. Dell has been debt ridden due to the acquisition of data storage provider for $ 67 billion.
With the new acquisition, NTT will make its presence in North America and expand its global network and improve its infrastructure services.

India ranks third among highest financial Trojan Infections:
The Internet which has been ruling the world has also left the possible risk of security like Virus infections and hacking risks. It is unfortunate to know that India has been globally placed at third rank in terms of Trojan infections.

Uber launches ‘Uber MOTO’ in Gurgaon:
The cab hailing company Uber just launched its pilot bike sharing service called Uber MOTO on Car-Free in Gurgaon. Users can request for a ride through the Uberapp.
Uber MOTO will work on Uber’s app, but will use bikes to ferry commuters around instead of cars. The fares start at Rs 15.

Oscar winning actress Patty Duke dies at 69:
US actress Patty Duke has died of sepsis from a ruptured intestine, at the age of 69. She first became known as a teen star, winning an OSCAR Award for Best Supporting Actress at age 16 for her role as Helen Keller in The Miracle Worker (1962).
