WORK CHARGE FOR CLERICAL STAFF IN BANKS - With IBPS and SBI clerical exams are scheduled in next few days and months we are here with a probable duty chart of clerical staff in banks.

Usually when you join the bank you are taught simple branch works which start of with posting. You are taught clearing activities and are usually asked to carry out clearing activity.
After a few months in service you are asked to open cash and carry out cash operations. you are taught how to detect fake currency.

Clerical staff on later stage are also taught about documentation of loan accounts (it happens usually at places where work load is too much)
Usually probation period for clerical staff in most of the banks is of 6 months to 1 year. You are entitled for only Casual leaves during this period which are credited on monthly basis. Its like if you have worked for 5 months then 5 CL will be credited to your accounts.
Usually you can be promoted to an officer within a time frame of 2-3 years provided you have done your JAIIB.
