Hi experts, My self Hari Narayan Sharma, I am also aspirant of IBPS Clerk Mains Exam 2015. Now, only few hours left for the exam. It’s the high time to revive your strategy to secure good marks in the exam. Friends, keep healthy, ear healthy and take proper sleep. If you look at the exam pattern, the total number of questions in this exam is 200 and you will get 120 minutes (Two hour) to solve all the questions. The the Clerk mains Exam will be on January 2nd 2016 and January 3rd 2016. Which section should I attempt first in IBPS Mains Exam and why?


Now, move on to other discussion i.e. how to complete your revision of the IBPS Clerk Mains Exam.
  •  Revision plays a very important role in ensuring you success. It’s high time you should done with your revision. Don’t try to revise each and every topic of the syllabus.
  •  Revise your self Prepared notes. Remember guys, there is no shortcut to your self prepared notes. you must give a final look to your notes.
  • Revise the important shortcuts and formulaes. I assume that during your preparation, you must have justified the validness of shortcuts and formulaes. Don’t grasp shortcut as it may create confusion in examination hall. Revise the shortcuts and formulaes with full understanding.
  • Do attempt one Mock test today. Analyse the answers and your performance. If your score is 140+, you are in safe zone, congratulate yourself for successful preparation.
Now, let’s discuss how to attempt the question paper of IBPS Clerk Prelims Exam 

Go for the section first you’re most confident with. If you are good in solving questions of the English Language section, then attempt that section first, or if you are good in Reasoning or Quant start your exam with those sections. This will give you a lot of confidence. Once, your confidence is boosted, go for the subject you find the toughest.

Considering this theory, we have brought you a detailed section – wise study of questions you must attempt first to score well in the IBPS Clerk Mains Exam 2015. So here we go –

 1. IBPS English LanguageUndoubtedly, candidates can start with questions they have good command over. But still there are a few ideal points, which will help them in deciding the order of questions to be answered. It is always a good idea to attempt the English section in the following order:
(i) Fill in the Blanks
(ii) Cloze test
(iii) Spotting the Error
(iv) Sentence Improvement
(iv) Para-jumbles
(v) Reading Comprehension

2. IBPS ReasoningStart with those questions which are not lengthy and which appear easy to you. It is always a good idea to attempt the Reasoning section in the following order:
(i) Syllogism
(ii) Inequality
(iii) Miscellaneous questions
(iv) Seating Arrangement/ Puzzle – Do not start reasoning section with these types of questions, if you get stuck on these questions, you will lose valuable time.

3. IBPS Quantitative AptitudeQuant is the most scoring section. Do not start quant section with those questions which are lengthy or involve too many calculations. It is always a good idea to attempt the Quant section in the following order:
(i) Simplification
(ii) Quadratic Equation
(iii) Data Interpretation– Questions on Data Interpretation are usually scoring, short and not very time consuming, and thereby should be the first ones to be solved.
(iv) Number series – Please do not stick on trying to solve number series questions. Skip the questions, if you are unable to find the series.
(v) Miscellaneous questions – Average, Profit & Loss, Time & Work, etc.

4. IBPS Computer Awareness
This section is the easiest of all. Basic knowledge of computer is enough to score good in this particular section. Questions include basic input output questions, networking, MS office (excel and word shortcuts), windows and hardware and software.

5. BANK EXAM IBPS Current Affairs and General Awareness
This section is considered as the most scoring section in Clerk Exam. The questions mainly consist from current affairs (mainly last 2 – 3 months), banking questions and static based.
1. Current Affairs – 25 + questions is expected to come from current affairs.
2. Banking Awareness – 8 – 10 questions is expected to come from Banking Awareness topics.
3. Static Gk – 5 – 6 questions is expected to come from Static Gk.
Note: Attempt those questions in which you are 100% confidence, in order to increase your attempt in this section don’t do guess work
Note: You must not attempt questions serial wise. Attempt those questions which appear easy to you.

How much time to allocate in each section? 

A total of one hour is allotted for all the 5 sections in this examination. To qualify each section to score overall good marks, time Management is very important. To master your timing skills make a target time and achieve it. So, here we bring to you a time allocation strategy across each section in the exam –

Important Tips for IBPS Clerk Mains Exam – 

1. Short Cut to achieve success in IBPS Clerk Mains exam is to find and attempt easy questions first.
2. You will be in a safe zone if you can fetch 20 to 25 marks in each section plus an overall 145- 165 marks to get into IBPS Clerk Interview.
3. Each question needs a certain time to be solved, the question to time ratio in the IBPS Clerk Mains Exam is less than 1. Thus, skip all the time-consuming questions and do them later when you are sure that you have attempted as many easy and scoring questions as you could have.
4. Time Management is very important for the Mains. To master your timing skills make a target time and achieve it.
5. During the last one week, you should focus only on the practice sessions.  Practice the 1 hour IBPS Clerk Prelim Mock Test, which will help you to improve speed and accuracy.
