READING PASSAGES SOLVING TIPS

Here we are providing some tips for handling questions with Reading passages of English section. If you follow these tips you will surely get beniffited of adding some extra marks in English section.

1. At first Concentrate, Put aside your worries and distractions. Get ready to get down to business!

2. Don't rely too much on prior knowledge. Although you may know about the subject, the information that is presented will be the source from which your answer should come.

3. Read the question first. Why read the question before the passage? Because it saves time to know what you are reading for!

4. Make sure you understand the question. What kind of information will you need to gather when you read? Will you be looking for facts? Or will you be using the passage to come up with your own answer?

5. Read the passage. Read the passage as quickly as you can. Look for the answer as you read. When you find it, take notice of it, but -- and this is important -- don't stop reading yet! Read to the end. That way you can be sure that your answer is the best, most complete answer possible.

6. A good standard approach is to glance over the questions before you begin to read the passages. This way, you'll have a sense of what you're looking for and where to focus your attention.

7. Just try to find the Main points in the passage and just take a look which part of the passage talking bout what. As u have to re-read the specific part of the passage for answering the particular queation. Don’t try to understand 100% about the passage in first reading it will save your lot of time.

8. This is not to suggest that you won't be reading the whole passage; instead, it's a way to know what you're looking for before you start. While this is an approach that works well for most of our students, you should also feel free to use the method that works best for you.

9. Providing the answer. Feel free to look back at the passage to double-check your answer.

If You Didn't Find the Answer:

1. Try again. Reread the question and the passage. Be sure you know what you are being asked to think about, before you reread.

2. Skip the question. If you still can't find or figure out the answer, skip the question. You can come back to it after you've finished the rest of the test.

ALL OF THESE ARE JUST A FEW GUIDELINES THAT YOU MAY MAKE YOUR TEST-TAKING EXPERIENCE BETTER AND ACHIEVE GOOD SCORES IN THE EXAMINATION!!

!! WISH YOU ALL THE BEST !!
