IBPS Clerical Notification Important Details

IBPS has released the Recruitment Notification for the post of Clerks in the participating Organizations for 2015. With the introduction of new pattern in the Clerical exam as well, the Preliminary and Mains Exam is tentatively scheduled in the month of December and January.

Note: There are major changes in the IBPS Clerk examination pattern and scheme as notified by IBPS on 16 January 2015. The following article tries to cover the maximum possible relevant information which might not see any change thereof.

IBPS Clerk Eligibility Criteria 2015

Before filling the IBPS Clerk 2015 Application form, a candidate must fulfill the eligibility criteria that includes set of clauses defined for age, nationality and education. If a candidate fills the application form without meeting these terms, he/ she shall be rejected even if he/ she qualifies the respective examination. Further, no refund of application fee would be made in any case. Thus, it is necessary to read the eligibility criteria and make sure that you fulfill all the terms.
  • A candidate must be in the age group of 20 to 28 years on the date of applying.
  • He must have passed from any state of centrally recognized university with a graduation degree or equivalent.
  • Upper age limit is relaxed to various extents for various categories.
  • Only Indian nationals/immigrants from listed countries can apply for the examination.
  • Immigrants need to show appropriate proof as issued by the Government of India.
 All the IBPS Clerk 2015 Eligibility Criteria must be checked thoroughly.

IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern 2015

Both the Preliminary and Main Exam will be an objective- based online exam of 01 hour and 02 hours, respectively.
Negative marking will be imposed for wrong answers marked by the candidates in both Pre and Main Exam – the penalty of one -fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to the question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at the final corrected score.

Important Point to Note – Marks obtained by the candidates in the IBPS Clerk 2015 Main examination will only be considered for shortlisting for Interview and preparation of final merit list.

IBPS Clerk Application Form 2015

The Application Form of IBPS Clerk 2015 was available from 11 August 2015 to 01 September 2015.  

IBPS Clerk Selection Process 2015

With the release of notification, selection process has also been complicated as compared to previous year examination. Now a candidate will be required to attempt three stages all in all. First two being online written examination and third being document verification and personal interview. The two tests, Prelims and Mains are a new feature of CWE Clerical V. If a candidate fails to score cutoff marks in any of the three stages, he shall be disqualified.
Also, to be eligible for the Mains, a candidate must qualify the Prelims. Marks of Prelims would not be considered in preparation of the final merit list as per the norms of Selection Process of IBPS Clerk 2015. Marks from Mains and personal interview would be normalized and calculated as per the conventional equipercentile method. Final merit list would be issued on the basis of this normalized score. Candidates would be screened against the cutoff benchmark and those who qualify, will be allotted a bank as per their preferences and final score.

IBPS Clerk Admit Card 2015

IBPS will issue the admit card to those candidates who filled their application form successfully. Candidates would be able to download the IBPS Clerk 2015 Admit Card from 18 November 2015  onwards. No hard copy will be sent to the candidate by post or courier. By all means, a candidate has to be present at the exam venue with a downloaded copy of the IBPS Clerk hall ticket. On the ticket, exam date, venue and time would be printed. Since now there would be two online examinations, candidates have to download two admit cards, one for Prelims and another for Mains.
However, IBPS Clerk 2015 Hall Ticket for Mains would be issued to only those candidates who qualify in the Prelims and whose result is positive. You must attach a photocopy of any government approved photo ID proof to the admit card. Also, it is needed to paste a passport sized color photo similar to the uploaded photograph on the original admit card. On the photocopy, mention your name, registration number, roll number and signature. Preserve the admit card till the final recruitment is over.  Tentatively, the link to download the admit card would be available from November 2015.

IBPS Clerk Result 2015

As the number of examinations has increased, so has the number of results. IBPS will now declare the IBPS Clerk Result in three stages, first for Prelims, second for Mains and third for final allotment. Candidates can check their result on the official website of IBPS by entering some basic details such as registration number/roll number and password/date of birth. On entering the information, they shall be given the status of their result.
Those candidates who fail in the Prelims would not be considered further for Mains and next stages of recruitment. IBPS Clerk 2015 Exam Result will not show the respective marks however IBPS will issue the scorecard separately at some another instance. Candidates must score at least cutoff marks to be qualified for the next stage. If his marks are less than the cutoff, he shall be disqualified. Based on the result in Mains and personal interview round, third and final result which is allotment list will be released. Interview Process

The last and final selection round of IBPS Clerk 2015 will be Interview process to be held in February 2016. Eligible qualified candidates will be issued Interview call letters to appear in the Interviews, to be held at selected centres by Participating Organizations and coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each State/ UT with the help of IBPS. Detailed information with respect to the centre, address of the Interview venue, time & date of Interview will be notified in the Interview Call letter.
